What to pay more attention to – the body or the engine? As the questioner enters the world of BMW, the answer to the question will appear by itself. In any case, the company’s designers did not intrusively advertise the most, perhaps, the perfect creation of BMW motorists – a twelve-cylinder V-shaped engine filled with revolutionary engineering solutions. But for true connoisseurs of beauty, there are things of the open trim of the cabin. In BMW cars, they are usually under the hood. But, unlike other models, the BMW 760i / 760Li there hides not just a work of automotive art, but also the cutting edge of engineering.

Optimal from the point of view of physics, these engines not only give generous performance in power and torque, but also have unique characteristics – zero vibration load and noiselessness – due to perfect balance and lack of internal inertia. Legend has it: if you put a coin on the V12 cylinder block, it will not ring even with the throttle fully open. But in the name of BMW would not be Motoren, if the company’s specialists did not want to improve the already ingenious design. And they removed the throttle, creating Valvetronic – a system of smooth adjustment of the intake valves, the introduction of which is all in one voice compared with the arrival of the injection system of injection, four-valve technology and electronic engine control. But one “for the first time in history” was not enough, and engineers went further, having equipped the engine with a direct fuel injection system and the already mentioned four-valve technology. A few pages of the magazine are not enough to list all the features of this unique engine, whose parameters also deserve mention: with a weight of just 280 kilograms, the six-liter engine develops 445 horsepower and an incredible 600 Nm of torque. No less unique is the world’s first six-speed automatic transmission that transmits engine power to the rear wheels, allowing the car to accelerate to “hundreds” in 5.5 seconds and continue to accelerate to 250 km / h. Is it worth mentioning that the flagship is equipped with all the available proprietary systems providing comfort in motion, and its basic configuration includes electronic systems for adjusting the stiffness of the EDC-K shock absorbers and roll restraint in corners Dynamic Drive. In the German market, car prices, including taxes, are 110,600 euros for the BMW 760i and 116,000 euros for the BMW 760Li.
