The main changes in the appearance of the car lie in the front, which received an updated front section, more smoothly turning into a spoiler and front fenders. The lower air intake was reoriented, which now can boast a chrome-plated element connecting the fog at the edges. The false radiator grille is now covered with silver paint with a darker shade that contrasts with the chrome rim – this is how the three-dimensional effect of this element is achieved. The side mirrors were also reworked – the old ones were not quite aerodynamically efficient. Among other changes – a new trunk lid, which have become smaller taillights and a few minor chrome accents on the body.

Inside the main innovation are the door panels, more smoothly turning into the dashboard. Designers have offered future buyers S80 new colors of the front panel, as well as a choice of several types of inserts – they can be both wooden and aluminum. A few changes on the toolbar – six-cylinder versions of the S80 will receive instruments from the hot version of the S60 R, and five-cylinder versions from the SUV XC90. As an option, you can order a three-spoke steering wheel.

Orders are also being accepted for an exclusive S80 Executive design, featuring leather-trimmed seats, inlays of the most expensive woods and an RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment) rear-seat entertainment system.

In technical terms, there are also few changes: the S80 can now be equipped with the FOUR-C active suspension, which was presented last year on the more dynamic versions of the S60 R and V70 R. In addition, the power steering from the German company ZF will be put on the flagship of the brand. enabling more precise taxiing and a pleasant “feeling of the road”.
