But Renault Avantime, Vel Satis, Peugeot 206 CC and Сitroen C5 can be seen on every second European parking lot. And, if you’re lucky, this “citrus aerial dream” will soon appear there.
Externally, it looks like all the “Citroen” at once – a long wheelbase, a windshield piled in, a long front overhang and a chopped off rear. To these classic ingredients, you can add clear body contours with soft, smooth contours. The game of forms of this concept is like the key to the design secret of distant DS and SM. Unlike the exterior, the inner world of the car negates the extra shine of chrome and polished aluminum. This can be perceived as a creative declaration by designers of the brand who want to move away from modern trends, leaning in favor of technogenic design using cold materials. The interior of C-Airdream plays a game with its contemplator, demanding to solve multiple riddles scattered around a magnificent, mystical salon. For example, where does the light come from that comes through the dashboard, door linings, seats, center console? The answer is: a fancy multi-colored interior light that fills the usual lacunae of the cabin, according to the designers of Citroen, is just another form of communication between the car and the driver. Just another form of car mind. Panoramic roof evenly distributes another light – natural, perfectly complementing the dark colors chosen for the interior. Here, the chocolate skin of the seats contrasts with the cream wheel of a fancy shape and light front panel, while the entire architectural ensemble gives away… fiction by Lem or Bradbury. There are no familiar pedals, gear knob and handbrake. There is a steering wheel with a fixed central hub, but no steering shaft. Steering functions also lie on the electronics, which can adjust the ratio of the angle of rotation of the steering wheel and the wheels in a convenient direction for the driver.
